This policy explains what QuoteDrop collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers usequotedrop.com and the QuoteDrop application.
This distinction matters throughout. QuoteDrop holds information about contractors who use it, and information about their customers.
Account information: your name, email, phone, company name and business details, collected when you sign up or edit settings.
Business records you create: clients, quotes, line items, prices, schedules, expenses, receipt images and job photographs. This includes the names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and property photographs of your customers.
Payment information: handled by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer identifier and subscription status. We never see or store full card numbers.
Technical information: IP address, browser type and timestamps, collected automatically in server logs. We use cookies only to keep you signed in and remember display preferences such as dark mode — no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Email engagement: whether a quote email was opened, so you know whether your customer saw it.
We do not sell your information, or your customers' information. We do not share it with advertisers or use it to train machine-learning models.
Only the providers needed to run the Service:
| Provider | Purpose | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication and file storage | All account and customer records |
| Vercel | Application hosting | Request logs, IP addresses |
| Stripe | Payment processing | Billing details, payment records |
| Resend | Transactional email delivery | Recipient addresses, message content |
| Google Maps Platform | Address lookup and satellite imagery | Addresses you search |
We may also disclose information where legally required, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
Job photographs and company logos are stored so they can be shown on quote pages your customers open without signing in. Anyone with the link to such a file can view it. Treat those links as semi-public and avoid photographing anything you would not want seen — faces, documents, vehicle plates or house numbers you did not intend to capture.
Expense receipts are different: those are stored privately and are only reachable through a short-lived signed link after you sign in.
Each company's records are isolated at the database level, so one company cannot read another's clients, quotes or financial records. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our infrastructure providers.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep your data while your account is active. After you close it, you may export for 30 days, after which we may delete it. Backups are retained for a limited period. We may keep records we are legally required to, such as transaction records for tax purposes.
Depending on where you live you may have the right to:
Most of this you can do yourself inside the app — settings include a full data export. For anything else, email jesoworks@gmail.com. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.
For requests about your customers' data, contact the contractor who holds the relationship — they decide what happens to it. We will assist them in responding.
The Service is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
The Service is operated from the United States, and information is processed there. If you use it from elsewhere, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app before taking effect, and the date at the top will change.
